A simple way to check a BIOS for Y2K compatibility is as follows:
1. Type [DATE] [Enter] then [12-31-99] [Enter].
2. Type [TIME] [Enter] then [11:59:55PM] [Enter]
3. Wait 10 secondss and type [DATE] [Enter]
4. Reboot the computer and repeat #3 above: in both cases the
date should be 01-01-2000.
5. If the computer fails, then on Monday, 01-03-2000 (or later),
repeat #1 above and enter the correct date.
