92-031In the HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD option, the LIST TO BE SENT TO THE HEALTH DEPT can be produced by date or alphabetically. Each Local Registration District must determine which format they prefer.Contact your AVSS programmer for further help.
92-032In the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE option, a time-delayed transmission using DAYTIME TRANSMISSION STARTUP can be started separately for each communication line and specifically by one or more sites.
92-038In the DEATH RECORD option, the new suboption DATA VERIFICATION has been added.
92-041In the DEATH RECORD option, an entry of "Residence" in field 19A-PLACE OF DEATH causes the prompt for 19B to be skipped. The entry of "Home" by itself is now an invalid entry.
92-045In the BIRTH REGISTRATION option, a warning message is issued and validation required when code 30-MATERNAL DEATH is entered in field 30-COMPLICATIONS AND PROCEDURES OF LABOR AND DELIVERY.
92-047In the BIRTH REGISTRATION option, AMEND CERTIFICATE suboption, length restrictions have been relaxed so that long names can be accomodated for certified abstracts.
92-048In the DELIVERY RECORD option, two new fields have been added: Arterial Umbilical Cord pH (CPHA) and Venous Umbilical Cord pH (CPHV). They are prompted for immediately after the Apgar values and are an optionally entered item. Validation and format: pH is reported with two decimals and range will be 6.00-8.00.
92-050In the DELIVERY RECORD option, three new comment fields have been added (BCOM, CCOM, and DCOM). These fields are similar in function to the ACOM, ICOM and PCOM fields currently in use. There are no edit checks of data entered in these fields.
92-051In the REPORT GENERATOR option, four new standard reports have been created for Death Records: 1) #LDCLST1 - Name listing by local file number (LFN); 2) #LDCLST2 - Name listing by date of death; 3) #LDCLST3 - Cause of death listing by local file number (LFN); and 4) #LDCLST4 - Cause of death listing by date of death.
92-052In the DEATH RECORD option, fields 21AT, 21BT, and 21CT-TIME INTERVAL BETWEEN ONSET AND DEATH allows entry of a time period greater than 24 hours. The upper limit has been changed to 99.99 hours.
92-055In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE, HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD, and DEATH RECORD options, registration disallows "Not Given", "Refuses To State", "Declines To State", and "Not Stated" for NAME OF FATHER.
92-058In the CONFIDENTIAL MORBIDITY REPORT option, the person selector display by ICD Code includes the Name, the File Identification Number and now, additionally, the Date CMR Was Sent To State.
92-059In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE and HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD options, registration will not allow the entry of codes 21, 22, or 23-PREVIOUS BIRTH comments in field 29-COMPLICATIONS AND PROCEDURES OF PREGNANCY AND CONCURRENT ILLNESSES if the value for fields 27A-27F-PREGNANCY HISTORY are equal to 0 (zero).
92-065In the REPORT GENERATOR option, a new standard report (similar to #CLATR1T) has been created for late registration (#FLATR1T) allowing the reporting of facility-specific statistics.
92-068In the DEATH RECORD option, a warning is issued if the field 2A-DATE OF DEATH is the same as or precedeshe dates entered in 27AA-DECEDENT ATTENDED SINCE or 27AB-DECEDENT LAST SEEN ALIVE.
92-081In the DEATH RECORD option, field 25-OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTORS allows entry of multiple codes.
92-082In the HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD, the VERIFICATION LETTER suboption is available in four different styles. Letters include formats with or without letterheads and with or without closing signatures. Each site may choose the format most suitable for its' purposes. Contact your AVSS programmer for further help.
92-093In the REPORT GENERATOR option, a new standard report for CMR reporting is available (#CMR1L). This listing is alphabetical by patient's name, selectable by date and also includes the patient's address, date of birth, social security number and disease reported.
92-094In the CONFIDENTIAL MORBIDITY REPORT option, BLOOD BANK has been added as a list item to the field REPORTER so that CMR records can be excluded from the Deferred Donor Register.
92-102In the REPORT GENERATOR option, a new standard report is available (#CMRGEND) that allows for the creation of an Epi-info file comprised of multiple diseases.
92-107In the DEATH RECORD option, two new suboptions have been added: AMEND CERTIFICATE and AMENDMENT DISPLAY. The AMEND CERTIFICATE suboption will prompt for AMEND DATE.
92-111In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE option, the CERTIFIED ABSTRACT PRINT suboption has been modified to facilitate the printing of abstracts greater than two (2) years old. Also, the header"Certified Abstract of Birth" is optional. (see 93-022)
92-119In the REPORT GENERATOR option, a new standard report has been created (#CAVSS1T) to list the percentage of AVSS certificates created by direct registration in hospitals.
92-121In the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE option, ID FILE suboption, user ID definition includes entry of the user's telephone number. Also, the CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD suboption of YOUR PASSWORD prompts for the user's telephone number.
93-122In the REPORT GENERATOR option, four new reports have been created for use with 1993 CMRs: 1) #CMRGONN - reports gonorrhea, 2) #CMRPIDN - reports pelvic inflammatory disease, 3) #CMRNGUN - reports non-gonococcal urethritis, and 4) #CMRCLMN - reports chlamydia.
92-125In the REPORT GENERATOR option, a new standard report (similar to #CLATR1T) has been created indicating the number of days between DATE OF BIRTH and DATE OF LRD VERIFICATION/LINKAGE (#CLATR2T). The new report also indicates the certificates delayed 30-39 days and 40+ days.
93-004In the DEATH RECORD option, 'ENTOMBMENT' has been added as a list choice for field 34A-PLACE OF FINAL DISPOSTION.
93-009In the DEATH RECORD option, the limitation for entering Death Records older than one year has been removed.
93-010In the HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD option, the LIST TO BE SENT TO THE HEALTH DEPT allows a top margin for hospital letterhead. The top margin is customized for each hospital. Contact your AVSS programmer for further help.
93-012In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE option, CBC validations occur automatically when linking Hospital Birth Records to Birth Certificates just before the Local File Number (LFN) prompt.
93-018In the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE option, INITIALIZE MODEM suboption, a brief message appears to inform the user that the initialization is occurring.
93-020In the BIRTH REGISTRATION option, REGISTER BIRTH suboption, the process of linking a Hospital Birth Record (HCA) to a Birth Certicate (LCA) has been optimized and most data verifications have been removed.
93-021In the BIRTH REGISTRATION option, REGISTER BIRTH suboption, a new field for Local Registrar Signature has been added and will be set automatically.
93-022In the DEATH RECORD option, a new suboption CERTIFIED ABSTRACT PRINT has been added.

93-025In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE and HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD options, the upper limit for fields 20C and 23C-EDUCATION - YRS. COMPLETED has been changed to '20'.
93-027In the HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD, the current date has been added to the print format of the VERIFICATION LETTER.
93-028In the BIRTH CERTIFICATE and DEATH RECORD options, the CERTIFIED ABSTRACT PRINT suboption allows printing of multiple copies.
93-031In the REPORT GENERATOR option, #RSR1T has been modified to include county of occurrence.
