BIRTH CERTIFICATE CHANGES:
98-138 Attendant address, city, and other components
of Field 13D are specifically prompted in the ATTENDANT LIST sub-option
under HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD.
98-142 The fields SSA1,SSA2, LFN can no longer be amended within
the BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
99-069 The date of registration (Field 17) can be printed at the
same time the LFN and its barcode are printed. If no date is
entered during LFN ASSIGNMENT, then Field 17 is left blank.
99-116 The list override prompting has been revised for Fields
7 and 10 (Father's and Mother's State of Birth) to give the user
more information on the proper procedure.
99-119 The HP LASERJET FORM ALIGNMENT sub-option under HOSPITAL
BIRTH RECORD had been improved to allow adjustments by 1/8 of
a line using the FSALIGN routine. The current methodology will
be expanded from 21 to 96 combinations of horizontal and vertical
offsets. The prior version of micro-adjustment using the FSHPLJ
routine will no longer be supported. This has the side effect
that nearly all sites will need to adjust their print settings
in the device table following the Version 4.9 update by running
HP LASERJET FORM ALIGNMENT and checking the print alignment.
DEATH RECORD CHANGES:
99-112 Some improvements have been made to the #BDxxx
reports for birth-infant death matching.
CONFIDENTIAL MORBIDITY REPORT CHANGES:
98-125 A new standard report was created: #CMRZD=DISEASE
BY ZIP CODE.
YEAR 2000 CHANGES:
99-026 Up to three choices for race of the father and
mother (Fields 18 & 21) will be allowed. All choices must
be made from a revised race list. New state-supplied birth certificate
forms (VS-10D) must be used for all birth certificates printed
after 12/31/1999, regardless of the date of birth of the infant.
The following manager's message will appear upon the first Year
2000 logon:
DESCRIPTION: WELCOME TO YEAR 2000!
Up to three choices for race of the father and mother (Fields
18 & 21)
are now allowed. As a result, new state-supplied birth certificate
forms
(VS-10D) must be used for all birth certificates printed after
12/31/1999,
regardless of the date of birth of the infant.
These new forms are identified by (REV 1/00) in the lower left
corner.
If you have not received these forms, contact your local registration
district immediately and have them send the revised forms before
printing.
These new forms will have slightly different spacing, so use the
HP LASERJET
FORM ALIGNMENT under HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORD before printing.
99-121 A test has been added to verify that the computer
transitions from 12/31/1999 to 1/1/2000 properly. If a BIOS malfunction
creates a date earlier than the date of last logon, the following
AVSS error message will result:
THIS COMPUTER HAS NOT TRANSITIONED FROM 12/31/1999 TO 1/1/2000
PROPERLY.
THE DATE CORRECTION MUST BE APPLIED MANUALLY.
THE SYSTEM WILL BE SHUTDOWN. GET TO THE DOS PROMPT (C:).
THEN CORRECT THE DATE BY TYPING 'DATE' AT THE DOS PROMPT.
ONCE THE DATE HAS BEEN CORRECTED, RESTART AVSS.
